Completion of gas upgrade for a large North Wales factory

Case study

This site in North Wales required an increase in gas capacity and larger metering supply to provide 15,000kW due to undertaking a large factory extension.

Scope of works

The team provided a full scope of works to provide:

  • A new intermediate pressure gas service
  • A new twin stream meter module
  • A bespoke kiosk
  • New PE outlet pipe
  • A new intermediate pressure gas service with connection to the existing parent main
  • GL5 and MP10 documentation
     

Delivery

Our design team submitted the construction design for approval and working with our dedicated Utility Infrastructure Partner we completed the GL5 documentation required for the gas infrastructure works.
We then completed the MP10 (G17) documentation for the new meter module and kiosk.
The new gas services works were construction alongside the IP connection and outlet pipework. This was then hydrostatically strength tested, tightness tested and full purged to complete the full scope of commissioning.
