Welcome to this year's Gas Winter Outlook.
The Outlook examines the forecast supply and demand in Great Britain.
Our total NTS demand forecast for the coming winter is slightly lower (4%) than the previous winter. This is mostly due to a reduction in total gas demand for power, following the high experienced last winter, along with reduced exports to continental Europe.
We've explored various scenarios to show how the NTS enables Great Britain to access diverse supply sources to facilitate meeting a wide range of demand patterns.
Our priority at National Gas remains ensuring a robust energy system. As we work with our partners across the energy industry, we are confident that we can continue to deliver reliable gas to power stations, industries and homes.
