Welcoming the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero to our National Control Centre

Welcoming the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero to our National Control Centre (NCC)

National Gas recently hosted colleagues from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero at our National Control Centre (NCC) for gas in the Warwick HQ.

Ashley Ibbett, Director General for Energy Infrastructure, Stefanie Murphy, Director of Hydrogen and Industrial Carbon Capture, and Ela Oldfield, Private Secretary were accompanied by National Gas colleagues Luke Rowlands, Corinna Jones, Jake Tudge, Jon Butterworth, Craig James and Danielle Stewart.

Together, we engaged in in-depth discussions around the critical role of National Gas in maintaining a secure and resilient energy supply for the UK, as well as how we can unlock clean power and net zero with hydrogen blending, biomethane, the core hydrogen network, and Carbon Capture and Storage in Scotland.

We thank government for engaging with us and supporting our mission to deliver net zero and ensure energy security for millions across the UK.

Well done to the team in the NCC for facilitating the visit and for continuing to keep the gas flowing every day.
