Who should apply to connect?
Connecting to the National Transmission System (NTS) is suitable for a wide range of gas customers:
- Gas distribution networks;
- Major industrial premises, such as power stations;
- Combined heat and power (CHP) schemes;
- Some major energy-intensive industries; and
- Lower-flow gas users such as biomethane, small gas generators, shale and compressed natural gas;
- Potential hydrogen projects / net zero from mid 2020s.
