Existing connections

  • Once you re connected to the National Transmission System (NTS) you may need to make alterations to your existing connection over time to support changes in use.

  • Depending upon the work involved, these can either go through the minor modification process or a full modification application.

  • The Charging Statement provides information on the types of application required however please speak to a Connections Contract Manager to discuss your modification before applying. All applications need to be made via the Connections Portal.

  • If you no longer require your NTS connection, please refer to our disconnection page for more details.

  • Please note, National Gas is not responsible for any domestic and/or small business connections therefore please speak to either your energy supplier or local distribution network regarding modifications or disconnections in these instances.
