You can find out who your gas supplier is and their contact details on a recent energy bill. If you don't have a recent bill, or if you've just moved home, you can still find out who your supplier is by clicking on the link below.

Alternatively, you can all the Meter Point Administration Service to get details of your gas supplier. They can also tell you your Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN).

How do I get my property connected?
You may need to get a property connected to a new gas supply, or want to alter the connection to the mains, if you:
- are building a new property or business premises;
- have moved to a new property and the gas doesn’t work; or
- want to move your energy meter.
To get your property connected to a gas supply you’ll need to contact your local distribution network operator (DNO). DNOs are the companies that own and operate the infrastructure that delivers gas to your property. You can find out who your DNO is, and how to contact them, by entering your postcode on the Energy Networks Association's postcode search tool.
What is my meter number?
Your Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) is the unique identifier for your gas supply point. If you do not have a gas meter yet or don't know what your MPRN is, please follow the below link.

Your gas supplier is responsible for providing a meter and organising for your meter to be read. You should contact your gas supplier directly for any other issues regarding your gas meter.
How do I move my meter?
If your gas meter is in a position where it is difficult for you to take meter readings, or you’re doing building work, you may need to have your meter moved.
It is illegal to move a meter yourself. Contact your supplier in the first instance and they should be able to advise you further.
