RIIO-GT3 2026 – 2031

RIIO-GT3 2026 – 2031

Ofgem’s regulatory framework is known as RIIO (Revenue = Incentives + Innovation + Outputs). The RIIO model offers network companies incentives for innovation and securing investment, so they can develop sustainable energy networks at the lowest cost for current and future customers.

RIIO‑GT3 is the third gas transmission price control, running from April 2026 to March 2031. It focuses on aligning delivery with long-term outcomes and the priorities of the people who rely on the network. Our RIIO-GT3 plan reflects the needs of consumers, customers and stakeholders,  each with different expectations, but all impacted by network performance. Through extensive engagement, we’ve explained the role we play in supplying energy and heard clearly that delivering value for money must remain central to our work.. Our RIIO‑GT3 plan is built around 12 clear commitments designed to meet these outcomes and ensure we deliver long-term value.
