Connecting to the National Transmission System
Welcome to connections page for the gas National Transmission System (NTS). The NTS transports gas at high pressures to and from a variety of customers, ranging from large power stations and large commercial units, to gas providers and gas storage units. The three main connections to the NTS are:
- Exit: A connection where gas is taken off the NTS to be used downstream by the connecting party.
- Entry: A connection where gas is injected into the NTS by the connecting party.
- Storage: A connection where gas can be taken off the NTS and also be injected back into the NTS by the connecting party.
